Halo 4: Spartan Ops - Tiny Covenant Glitch

So me, my brother, and our friend Jarvis were playing Episode 3 of Halo 4's Spartan Ops mode earlier tonight when we came across these tiny Covenant in Chapter 2: "Galileo". For a second I thought they were just invisible Elites until I saw how close the guns were to the floor. Then I thought they were stuck in the ground. It wasn't until a couple of minutes later that I got a closer look, only to discover that we were fighting tiny Covenant! They were adorable. I felt like I was playing Duke Nukem Forever or something.

I'm talking to my brother and our friend Jarvis over the headset while using my right hand to hold the video camera and using my left on the Xbox 360 controller. I plan on getting capture gear at some point, but hopefully you all can spot how totally cute and tiny these Covvie are.

OK, time to go play some Hotline Miami.

Andrew Garfield Unenthusiastically Promoting The Amazing Spider-Man on Xbox Live

I thought this was kind of funny. I clicked on The Amazing Spider-Man ad that's currently on the Xbox 360 dashboard and was greeted with a small clip of Andrew Garfield, the film's star, promoting the film for Xbox Live. These promotions always seemed like one of the worst parts of an artist's job, be it an actor or musician or something else, where the interviewer wants the interviewee to record a quick clip or sound bite of them mentioning the service the interviewer works for (like a radio station or Video on Demand channel) or, in some cases I've seen, the interviewer's personal website/podcast. In my experience, it usually comes off as disingenuous, and understandably so. It's even worse when you know that artist has never heard of the thing they're promoting!

Anyway, no ill will toward Andrew. I just thought it was amusing.

He could also just be really, really tired. Press tours can be pretty grueling.

Gamerscore Milestones

I was going through old files on my computer and came across some pictures I had taken when I reached a certain number of Gamerscore. This first one was taken when I reached 20,000 Gamerscore on December 21st, 2008. I had played various Xbox Live Arcade titles in an attempt to get the number just right -

I was REALLY in to Left 4 Dead.

783 days (or 2 years, 1 month, and 22 days) later on February 11th, 2011, I reached 45,000 Gamerscore. I don't remember why I took a picture of this, but I figure it's because I landed on a nice, even number.

Rocking my Limbo avatar awards.

It was 246 days later on October 14th, 2011, that I reached 50,000 Gamerscore. I had originally planned to get it with my brother while playing Gears of War 3, but my score reached 49,990 on October 7th, and it wouldn't have been possible to land on 50,000 if we kept playing. I somehow reached 49,995 (I can't figure out how) and tried playing Comix Zone and Street Fighter II': Hyper Fighting to get the last of the points, but needed something faster that wouldn't push me over 50,000. I then looked at Game Room's achievements and remembered that I never changed a theme in my arcade for 5 points. My brother disapproved of my method and thought it was cheap, but achievements are achievements, and I needed that perfect string of zeros.

Wait for it...

Uh-huh...

Yes!

That's right; I bought a Batman costume and Towelie prop. Worth it! Here's him stealing my Cheesy Poofs.

Our gamerpics match up rather nicely.
